Meaningful Moment
Deb and I ordered dinner where we are staying.
Not for the only reason, but an important reason, is that it's the only place in the village. But we are hoping for a really good meal.
It is a private home, turned into a Casa Rural which is a house in the country made available to essentially city slickers for the weekend.
We chose it because the place is ideally located for a stopping place.
Random Thought of the Day
Seems like a lot of people went to Muxia first, while we went to Finisterra first. We have been passing lots of pilgrims headed in the opposite direction to Finisterre while Deb and I are walking to Muxia
After 27 days now, by the time I make it to the room, I pretty much want to call it a day. Might be discovering my upper limits lol
On the Road / Notable memories
Having coffee in Santo Estuvo de Lires because we got caught in another rainstorm that does not show up on the radar. lol
Cows - lots of cows; up close and personal
Cat town | |
Walking along the Atlantic coast this morning
Twice we came along herds of cattle. The path was narrow do the cattle passed work feet, horns included.
Deb is making a way for the bull and cows.
Beautiful day | |
Rural country house, out lodging, Casa Ceferino
Another incoming storm over the Casa Rural
Igrexa de Santa Leocadia de Frixe. Romanesque church of the 12th century and reformed in the 18th. This area was repopulated in the Middle Ages with people from Toledo who brought devotion to Santa Leocadia, a rare invocation in Galicia.
